Education

Hamlins attended Central Catholic High school in Pittsburgh and graduated in 2016. After that he completed bachelor’s degree in Communication in 2020 from University of Pittsburgh. He played football throughout his academics. In University he suffered an injury and got a medical redshirt exception. During his sophomore year he played at a safety position.

Career

In High school he achieved Class AAA Defensive Player of the year. In University, he played for the Pittsburgh Panthers Football Team.Hamlin was named honorable mention in  All-Atlantic Coast Conference as a redshirt sophomore after record tackle of 77 with two interceptions. He also recorded 84 tackles in junior school. He became captain of his team Pittsburgh Panthers. He achieved ACC CO-Defensive Back of the Week Honors. 

In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills selected Hamlin in the sixth round with the 212th overall pick.he played a reserved role during his rookie season and got very little playing time. But after his fellow Micah Hyde suffered injury in 2022, he started playing at his place of safety for the Buffalo Bills. 

Shortly after his career as a safety started to flourish he suffered cardiac arrest during a match with Cincinnati Bengals on January 2,2023. He collapsed after a tackle on Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. His life was saved after timely CPR by Bill’s trainer and then transferred to hospital in serious condition. Match was postponed and #Pray for Damar spreads everywhere.

The player returned to play for Bills in October 2023 with a 48-20 win for the team against Dolphins. He gave his debut in preseason and as result made the team’s 53-man roster.
